We are looking for you who has several years of experience in developing web services in a cloud environment. As a Cloud Engineer, you will build software systems that have well-defined interfaces and are testable. You will be part of our mission of interacting with large data streams and reacting to them in real-time. Both containerized services, serverless services and their interaction with other managed services are part of our architecture and you will be part of developing them. Language-wise, we are looking for experienced Java developers, but Rust and Typescript are also part of our portfolio.

We at Bitvis are on a mission of transforming how energy is consumed. With the global effort of moving towards green energy, consumers need a front seat in how their energy is consumed.
We’re developing a scalable system for delivering consumer energy services. We ship our services to the end-users through utility companies all around Sweden. We are now accelerating our development and need to increase our effort in our cloud service development. We are geographically located in Linköping, but of course we are not that strict in always being at the office.
Our team has several years of experience in the domain and are always striving to help each other and spread our knowledge. You will be a key player in your field, with backup from your colleagues.
What you will do
- Evolve our AWS infrastructure and architecture to handle real-time data streams
- Design and develop microservices systems with Java
- Develop serverless functions using AWS Lambda whenever the need arises
- Work in an agile environment
- Maintain live services through monitoring of key performance indicators, including resource
- utilization and cost metrics, and improve uptime by ensuring seamless updates and automating
- fault recovery.
- Perform unit and system testing
- Perform threat and risk assessments
What you bring:
- At least 3-5+ years of experience building software applications
- Excellent problem solving and analytical thinking skills
- Experience in solving technical issues with thorough research and investigation
- Hands-on experience with Java technologies
- Experience with AWS CDK
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English
- Bachelors/Master’s degree Computer Science or related or equivalent work experience.
