We are looking for you who has some years of experience in the field of algorithm development, system modelling and machine learning. You love data and crunching numbers, and know which models and frameworks which suits best for the given task. You have a genuine interest in continuously learning new methods of problem solving and how they would fit in a production environment.
About Bitvis
We at Bitvis are on a mission of transforming how energy is consumed. With the global effort of moving towards green energy, consumers need a front seat in how their energy is consumed.
We’re developing a scalable system for delivering consumer energy services. We ship our services to the end-users through utility companies all around Sweden. We are now accelerating our development and need to increase our effort in our cloud service development. We are geographically located in Linköping, but of course we are not that strict in always being at the office.
Our team has several years of experience in the domain and are always striving to help each other and spread our knowledge. You will be a key player in your field, with backup from your colleagues.
What you will do
- Develop a nuanced understanding of the energy market’s prices and volumes and how they are
- affected by volatility in production and consumption.
- Model system dynamics and usage patterns for predicting behavior and pricing.
- Develop optimization algorithms targeting various objectives related to saving energy cost and
- reducing load on the electricity grid.
- Aid our Cloud Engineers in developing and maintaining the data pipelines.
What you bring:
- Several years of experience in the field of algorithm development and machine learning.
- Bachelors/Master’s degree Computer Science, Applied Physics, Data Science or related or
- equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in the area of system modelling and machine learning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English
Bonus points:
- Experience with AWS Athena and time series databases
- Experience with large data processing frameworks such as Spark, Flink or Dask
- Data lake configurations
