Load balancing

# Help customers charge without tripping the fuse

With load balancing in your own app, EV charging adapts when other electricity use increases. You get a service to offer when customers want to charge at home while the rest of the home uses electricity.

## Charging adapts to the home

In Power App, the customer sets the preferred fuse level. Power Hub measures the load in real time and load balancing temporarily reduces charging when other consumption increases.

## Load balancing comes with Power Hub

Power Hub measures the load per phase. Load balancing uses the readings to adjust charging, while the customer can follow the change in the app.

## How load balancing and power control work together

Load balancing reacts to the load right now so the main fuse does not trip. Power control follows hourly average power and the customer's chosen limit. Together they cover both the moment and the hour in the same app.

 ## Make load balancing part of your offering

When more customers charge an EV at home, showing consumption in a graph is not enough. With load balancing, Power Flow adapts charging to the load in the home.

 ### Charging that takes the home into account

You can offer customers EV charging that adapts when other electricity use increases, in your app under your name.

  ### Less risk of a tripped fuse

When the home needs more capacity, charging is temporarily reduced so the chosen fuse level is not exceeded.

  ### Same metering, more services

With Power Hub in place, you can offer load balancing together with power control and real-time measurement in the same app.
