When several electricity-intensive things are running at the same time, the load can become high. Smart control is about managing that load in a way that fits the home and the equipment actually installed there. EV load balancing and control based on demand charges are related, but they are not the same thing.

Over 168 days, load balancing changed EV charging 515,672 times. In 487,985 cases, the charging current was adjusted. In 27,579 cases, charging was temporarily paused. This article describes what the numbers show, and what they are not enough to establish.
